In the second week of 2017, the Edenvale SAPS made 14 arrests, which included the arrest of an Edenvale man for attempted murder.
According to Captain Jean Olckers, spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, the man shot an individual he was arguing with, on January 15.
“It is alleged that a fight broke out at a liquor outlet, in Edenvale, and the suspect shot the victim in the leg. The suspect left the scene,” said Capt Olckers.
The man (36) was arrested at his Edenvale home the following morning and charged with attempted murder.
