SAPS makes 19 arrests

Following the start of the new year, the Edenvale SAPS made 19 arrests in the first week of 2017.

Captain Jean Olckers, the spokesperson of the Edenvale SAPS, said the arrests included:

•  Ten for drug-related activities.
•  Four for shoplifting.
•  One for theft.
•  One for the possession of stolen property.
•  One for robbery in transit.
•  One in connection to an outstanding warrant of arrest.
•  One for interfering with police duties.

Capt Olckers thanked the community for all the support the Edenvale SAPS received in 2016.

“Let’s work together in 2017 to make a difference,” said Capt Olkers.
