Collect your firearm licences – Edenvale SAPS

The Edenvale SAPS is urging community members who have applied for, and been granted, their firearm licences to collect their licence cards from the Edenvale Police Station.

According to Captain Jean Olckers, spokesperson of the Edenvale SAPS, the police station has its own office that deals specifically with firearm licences.

He said the office is run by Constable Mokweina and Constable Cindi.

Capt Olckers said the concerns of the firearm licence department are:

•  Community members not collecting their firearm licences.
•  Being unaware of the licence expiry date.
•  Not renewing their licences.

He said anyone who applied for a firearm licence before October 2017 can contact the office and find out if their license is ready for collection.

“The office can be contacted during office hours,” said Capt Olckers.
