Jeppe Boys matriculants bag 185 distinctions

Jeppe High School for Boys is extremely happy with the Class of 2016's matric results.

Of the 186 learners who wrote their matric exams at Jeppe High School for Boys, 185 distinctions were obtained.

The class of 2016 achieved a 98 percent pass rate.

Of the learners who passed, 78 percent received university exemption and 20 percent a diploma exemption. This means 98 percent of the class of 2016 has the opportunity to study at a tertiary institution.

Some of the students who achieved distinctions were:

  •  Ashwin Van Der Merwe who passed matric with an overall average above 90 percent. He received seven distinctions.
  •  Derick Mathew obtained seven distinctions.
  •  Matthew Gillmer achieved six distinctions.
  •  Andrew Laidley was awarded six distinctions.
  •  Kilolo Muaku obtained six distinctions.
  •  Michael Gomes received five distinctions.
  •  Bradley Mann was awarded five distinctions.
  •  Gary Edwards received four distinctions.
  •  Joshua Sarkis was awarded four distinctions.
  •  Johan v/d Ryst obtained four distinctions.
  •  Craig Van Straaten achieved four distinctions.
  •  Jared Wood was awarded four distinctions.
  •  Mpole Bohulu achieved three distinctions.
  •  Dino Da Mata was awarded three distinctions.
  •  Tanvir Hiralal obtained three distinctions.
  •  Liyasakha Kwayiba obtained three distinctions.
  •  Keagan Lamb received three distinctions.
  •  Brodric Pahl was awarded three distinctions.
  •  Joao Pita achieved three distinctions.
  •  Guy Seynaeve obtained three distinctions.
  •  Siyabulela Sibeko achieved three distinctions.
