Councillor assures residents rotting tree will be cleared

KENSINGTON – Pietersen says fallen trees must be reported to City Parks.

Councillor Neuren Pietersen is aware of a tree that fell onto the road on the corner of Highland Road and Queen Street in Kensington, and has urged residents to be patient as City Parks has a schedule in place to cut and trim trees.

The tree could take up to 14 days to be cleared, he said.

“I’m glad nobody was hurt and advise residents to be careful. Rotting trees must be reported to City Parks as they pose a threat to residents,” said the Ward 118 councillor.
