50 years of care and love for Little Eden

"All are welcome to attend this memorable event."

In 2017, the Little Eden Society will be celebrating 50 years of care for persons with intellectual disability.

To launch their 50th anniversary year the Little Eden Society will be hosting a Holy Mass of thanksgiving in Bapsfontein, at the Elvira Rota Village, Holy Family Chapel, on January 29.

The event will begin at 9.30 am for 10 am.

Ms Nichollette Muthige, public relations and communications officer for Little Eden, said at the 50th anniversary launch that the mass will include an honours award and the launch of the society’s history, a book titled Little Eden 50 Years of Love & Care (1967 to 2017).

“All are welcome to attend this memorable event,” said Ms Muthige.

She added that throughout 2017 the society will host several events in celebration of its 50th anniversary.

Some of the events include:

  •  The annual Little Eden fete, on March 4.
  •  The Pilgrimage, in April.
  •  A breakfast to honour women.
  •  A star gazing evening at Elvira Rota Village.
  •  A gala evening.
  •  Concerts performed by residents of the society.

Community members interested in attending the Holy Mass must RSVP before January 20 to info@littleeden.org.za or phone 011 609 7246.
