The search for Toboe continues

Edenvale – Toboe still not found.

A month has passed since the English bull terrier named Toboe was washed away near Horwood’s Farm during the 9 November floods.

Since then the community of Edenvale has embarked on a mission to search for Toboe. Despite all the efforts, Toboe has not been found. According to the Facebook page created to help find Toboe, Michael Bowen has not only lost his furry friend in the floods but also his belongings.

Bowen posted a thank-you message on the Find Toboe (lost In Edenvale Floods) Facebook page. “I just want everyone to know how grateful I am for everyone’s participation and assistance with searches. Most people wouldn’t understand the bond between a human and a loyal furry friend.

“Mine was undoubtedly the greatest experience of my life and I miss him dearly. There is no day that goes by I don’t miss him and there is no day that goes by [that] I am not overwhelmed at the idea that there are so many out there helping and doing their best.

“The [coordinated searches] and the spread of awareness to try to get my boy home have touched our hearts and fuelled us with hope and purpose.”

As the search continues every lead is followed. The last time Bowen saw his beloved dog, he was wearing a black studded collar. A reward of R7 000 was raised with the help of the community for the safe return of Toboe.

Anyone with information can contact Michael on 062 533 6207 or Chantal Levings on 084 095 6395 or join the Facebook page Find Toboe (lost in Edenvale).
