Lifesaver receives national colours

Eleven countries that took part, with 65 girls competing.

Holy Rosary High School learner Chrislin Nieuwoudt was one of five girls selected to represent South Africa in the Netherlands for the Protea Junior Lifesaving Team.

Chrislin is a grade 10 learner at the school.

They took part in the international competition, The Orange Cup, in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

The team was presented with their Protea Blazers at the blazer presentation before they flew out to the Netherlands on November 9.

Eleven countries that took part, with 65 girls competing.

During the competition, two South African records were broken for the relays that Nieuwoudt took part in.
