Jeppe boys 2017 leaders

KENSINGTON – Jeppe High School for Boys announces new leaders.

Jeppe High School for Boys had a special assembly on 24 October where they announced the prefects for next year.

Joshua Harrison was announced as the new head boy. He said his intention is to engender a more caring and empathetic group of Jeppe men. “I will strive towards producing good quality gentlemen who will contribute positively to our society. I will ‘lead from the front’, setting the best example possible for the other boys to follow,” said Harrison.

His deputies will be Luke Allan and Sizwe Nkosi. “It is an honour to be elected deputy head boy for 2017. My first priority will be to ensure that the good reputation of the school is upheld by the pupils through their discipline and respect – just as any Jeppe boy would be expected to do,” said Allan. He said he believes that with the prefect group of 2017, it will be a successful year for the school.

“I’m passionate about the school and I’m committed to working tirelessly with the other head prefects, the prefect body as a whole, the matric group and the management of the school to ensure that the group of 2017 leave the school a better place than when they joined in Grade 8 in 2013,” said Nkosi. He said as deputy head boy he will reinforce the school’s traditional values of respect, pride and honour.
