Cleveland police officers arrested a 28-year-old on a charge of raping a 14-year-old girl in Malvern on 12 November.
This comes after the complainant alleged that she was told by her daughter that she had been raped by a man who lives in the same yard as them. “The child alleged that the suspect took her to an empty room and raped her,” said Cleveland Police Station spokesperson constable Mpho Mashakane.
“Police were called to the scene and the suspect was arrested. The child was taken for medical observation at the hospital.”
