St Benedict’s announces new leaders

Head of culture and head boy is Jacob Groenewald.

St Benedict’s College is committed to building talented, passionate and motivated leaders for tomorrow.
As the school heads towards 2017, it has appointed a number of St Benedict’s pupils to hold leadership positions in their matric year.
Their leadership positions include head of religion, head of sport, head of boarding, head of academics, head of culture, two deputy head positions and a head boy.
The head of religion is Roberto Coelho, head of sport is Kingsley Martell, head of boarding and deputy head boy is Kundai Matigimu, head of academics and deputy head boy is Jason Teixeira and head of culture and head boy is Jacob Groenewald.
Jacob a dedicated learner and is committed to all four pillars of the college.
He is a strong academic; a respected sportsman and has been awarded the Most Promising Actor Award for a stage production.
He plays second team cricket and first team hockey, for which he has received numerous awards.
Jacob has also been appointed as hockey vice-captain and soccer captain for 2017.
Moreover, Jacob is an articulated public speaker. His leadership abilities are exceptional and he carries the full support of the college.
Jacob attended King Edward’s Preparatory School before enrolling at St Benedict’s in grade 8.
