The Edenvale Bowling Club, together with the Edenvale Care Centre Hospice, hosted a charity tournament on October 22.
The event was held at the Edenvale Bowling Club and the proceeds of the event will go to the Edenvale Care Centre Hospice.
The event is held every year to raise funds for the Edenvale Care Centre Hospice.
Sister Leigh said she was happy with the turnout as they managed to sell three greens for the charity event.
She said it would not be possible to run the hospice without the money that comes from charity events. She has been the caring hands behind the treatment of patients at the Edenvale Care Centre Hospice since 2006.
The Edenvale Care Centre Hospice receives patients from nine provincial hospitals in an area stretching from Pretoria to Heidelberg
“Despite the money we get from the government, it would not be possible for us to operate this centre without charity events like these. I take patients from all over Gauteng and the money we make from charity events make it possible for us to operate this centre,” said Sister Leigh.
