Residents revved up over car show

"I would go to that mall every single day just to have a look at those cars," said Mathebula.

The Eastgate Motor Show may have come and gone, but memories will linger in shoppers’ minds for much longer.

The show, which ran from October 4 to 17, remains one of the biggest attractions on the centre’s events calendar, as it continues to draw crowds beyond its 10th year.

Car lovers, young and old, came out to have a look a their favourite cars.

Mr Malcolm Mathebula said he enjoyed the show.

“I would go to that mall every single day just to have a look at those cars. Lamborghini, Ferrari, Bentley and the SLR Mercedes Benz. You name them and they are here. It’s a good thing they brought them here or else some of us would never touch them,” said the 29-year-old Tembisa resident.

Sports car fanatic, Mr Siyabonga Ndlala said the show was a hit.

“All my favourites under one roof – why would anyone ask for anything else?” he asked.
