Community comes together

The fundraiser was held to assist a local family with medical bills.

Community members came together on October 2 to raise funds for a local family who needed funds to pay hospital bills.

The fundraiser, which was held at Vintage Flair Hair, saw food items being sold and a blow-wave and shave rally taking place.

According to Ms Amber le Roux, the owner of Vintage Flair Hair and host to the fundraiser, R7 500 was raised.

Ms Gabby Reis, one of the organisers of the event, said the event was held to assist a local family with medical bills.

Ms Reis said the family’s five-month-old child had undergone a number of surgeries and was diagnosed with multiple medical conditions.
