Edenvale SAPS arrests 29 suspects

According to Capt Olckers, the suspect was pointing a firearm at people in the area.

Captain Jean Olckers, the spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, recently thanked Mamba Security for their assistance in the arrest of a suspect.

According to Capt Olckers, the suspect was pointing a firearm at people in the area.

He said security officers attended to the complaint and arrested the suspect.

This arrest was one of 29 made in the Edenvale SAPS precinct between October 10 and 17.

Capt Olckers said the other arrests included:

  •  One for common assault.
  •  Three for assault with the intention to do grievous bodily harm.
  •  Three for business burglary.
  •  One for business robbery.
  •  Five drug-related arrests.
  •  Four for fraud.
  •  Four for the possession of stolen property.
  •  One for common robbery.
  •  Two in connection to outstanding warrants of arrest.
  •  Three for shoplifting.
  •  One for reckless driving.

“Thank you to all involved, together we can make a difference,” said Capt Olckers.
