Halloween safety tips: Don’t get spooked out

Never allow children to enter a stranger’s house: There is no kind of treat that is worth a security risk so do not allow your children to enter a stranger’s home, no matter how appealing the offer or Halloween display.

Next week on October 30, many residents will be out and about enjoying Halloween fun.

ADT Security cautions all residents to ensure they keep their family and home safe, whether they are out collecting sweets, or just staying at home.

Here are some Halloween safety tips to keep you and yours safe this spooky night.

Mr Theunis Kotze, ADT General Manager Inland Region, says ADT will be proactively patrolling all of its suburbs that evening to ensure Halloween remains a fun-filled evening without any unexpected surprises.

“Our patrol cars will be especially vigilant in all our areas to increase visibility as we know that the streets are usually busier at this time with many residents inviting friends and family to come and join. We will also alert all of our guards at our boomed area to stay watchful,” he said.
