Cleveland police arrested a 52-year-old suspect for murder at a Denver hostel on 9 October after residents at the hostel called the police to alert them about a crime scene at Plantatie Street.
“Police officials proceeded to the given address and upon arrival they found a man lying on the ground facing upwards, bleeding from his neck and his mouth,” said Cleveland police spokesperson, constable Mpho Mashakane.
According to Mashakane the victim was already dead when paramedics arrived. “Paramedics were called. The man was certified dead on the scene. He had two bullet wounds. The 52-year-old accused was well known to witnesses and he was arrested on the spot. He was detained at the Cleveland Police Station without any injuries,” said Mashakane.
