Local beauties ready for Mrs SA finale

The event is open to the public and tickets are available at Computicket.

With less than 72 hours to go before the crowning of this year’s Schwarzkopf Professional Mrs South Africa, the countdown has begun and the battle lines have been drawn.

Bedfordview resident Dr Lilliana Lulli-Marucchi and Greenstone resident Mrs Semone Skosan will be among the 25 women to walk the big stage at Emperors Palace’s Theatre of Marcellus in a bid to win the coveted crown.

The duo has dubbed their journey to the finale as life-changing.

In preparation for the finale, Dr Lulli-Marucchi said the journey has awakened the person she used to be.

“What this competition aims to achieve with participants is to help us become better women, and for me that journey has been going back to the woman I was at medical school. It has reminded me to pause for a bit, take a deep breath and become the woman I was before being diagnosed with cancer, starting my internship and then becoming a community service doctor,” said Dr Lulli-Marucchi.

Dr Lulli-Marucchi is a community service doctor at Tembisa Hospital.

Mrs Skosan, a businesswoman, said she is grateful for the experience.

“My journey with Mrs South Africa for the last six months has been absolutely life-changing and I am truly grateful for the platform that Mrs SA has given me to represent and empower married women in SA,” said Mrs Skosan.

The finale takes place from 8pm on Friday.

The event is open to the public and tickets are available at Computicket.
