Think before you commit a crime – Capt Olckers

Between October 10 and October 3, the Edenvale SAPS made 16 arrests

Captain Jean Olckers, the spokesperson for the Edenvale SAPS, said the arrests made were as follows.

•  Two for assault common.
•  Two for theft.
•  Two for the possession of house breaking equipment.
•  Two for shoplifting.
•  Three for the possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle.
•  Two for the possession of drugs.
•  One for drug dealing.
•  Two for fraud.

Capt Olckers said with the arrests made in connection to shoplifting, the security personal at the shops played a big role.

“Shoplifters, think twice before you take something,” said Capt Olckers.

He said the security guards know what they are doing and keep an eye out for shoplifters.
