Here is a step-by-step guide to growing sunflowers.

1. Use dwarf seeds in a 40cm width container, including the saucer for the bottom.

2. Add a layer of small pieces of polystyrene foam for drainage. Then add potting soil and water well.

3. Plant the seeds in pairs 2.5cm deep and at least 10cm apart.

4. Water for every seed planted. Ensure that the soil is kept moist until the seeds sprout.

5. Germination should occur in the next 3 to 8 days.

6. Sunflower should be positioned so that it gets full sun most of the day. For indoor sunflowers, choose a sunny room but avoid placing it too close to a window.
