Thornhill Manor all set for annual Family Fun Day and Fête

Dynamite Lace will display their work at Thornhill Manor’s annual Family Fun Day and Fête on Saturday, October 1.

Kempton Park resident Ms Maggie Rajah said lace making has eased her arthritic hands is seen with Thornhill Manor resident, Ms Penny Perrow and Ms Lorraine Blount, who is a patient teacher to many club members.

Dynamite Lace will display their work at Thornhill Manor’s annual Family Fun Day and Fête on Saturday, October 1.

The women gather at the retirement village’s community centre on three Saturdays of each month to hone their craft.

Although their items will not be on sale at the fête, members of the club hope to create awareness of this delightful hobby.

The annual Thornhill Manor fête will have plenty to keep visitors of all ages busy, with stalls offering unique items rather than mass imported goods; food stalls and a beer and tea garden.

It will run from 9am to 1pm.

Thornhill Manor is situated at 158 Westlake Drive, Lakeside, Johannesburg Road in Modderfontein.
