Man found dead in Malvern

A crowbar, screwdriver and a cartridge were found about 500 meters away.

An unknown man was found dead at Tucker Street in Malvern on September 21.

Cleveland SAPS received a phone call from a complainant about a person lying on the pavement.

“Upon arrival the police officers found the man lying on the pavement. He was covered with brown plastic. He had wounds on his face and legs. Paramedics were called to the scene where he was declared dead,” said Cleveland SAPS spokesperson Captain Johan Jordaan.

“A crowbar, screwdriver and a cartridge were found about 500m away from the body. The victim is not yet known. The case will be investigated by Cleveland SAPS. All leads and information pertaining to the case will be appreciated,” said Captain Jordaan.
