Friends and family members of Thembalami Care Centre residents, as well as the general public looking for a bargain, are invited to a Family Day and Jumble Sale on October 29.
The event will start at 8am.
“These days are held regularly and not only assist us with essential fundraising, but give our residents something to look forward to. They love being outside and interacting with visitors,” said Ms Elize Raath, who heads up the Rand Aid care centre that looks after older people in need of 24-hour care.
Good quality secondhand clothing, white elephant items and books will be on sale.
There will be a tea garden, cold drinks and boerewors rolls will also be available.
People with good, secondhand clothing and household articles that they no longer need are asked to consider dropping them off at Thembalami. The centre is situated in Victoria Road, Lombardy East. For more information, call 011 882 4434.
