9/11 memorial ride to take place
The mass ride will start from Centurion Makro at 9am and proceed through to Fireman's Tavern based at the South African Emergency Care offices in Modderfontein where a short memorial service will be held.
Modderfontein-based motorcycle club, Firefighters Joburg will host a 9/11 remembrance ride on Sunday, September 11.
Through the mass ride Firefighters Joburg along with a number of other motorcycle clubs will pay tribute to the 343 firefighters and other uniformed personnel who lost their lives on September 11, 2009 in New York.
The mass ride will start from Centurion Makro at 9am and proceed through to Fireman’s Tavern based at the South African Emergency Care offices in Modderfontein where a short memorial service will be held.
The ride will be led by Mustang Sally.
Fireman’s Tavern is situated at 1 Ardeer Road.
Motorcycle enthusiasts as well as clubs who wish to join the mass ride are asked to meet at Makro Centurion at 8am to leave promptly at 9am.
