The Jan Smuts Cubs and Scouts held a collection within the group to gather donations for the Edenvale SPCA.
Items donated to the SPCA included cat and dog food, blankets and treats.
When the group donated the items to the SPCA the children visited the animals to give them some treats.
“We were very grateful for the generosity of our Scouting families and hope to continue our support of the SPCA,” said Ms Wendy Harrison from the Jan Smuts Cub Group.
According to Ms Harrison the staff at the SPCA said they receive a lot of dog and cat food, however, they often need cat litter and bunny food.
She said the staff at the SPCA were friendly.
