Scouts show off to electorate

We were not only advertising for Scouts but also for the Cubs and Guides.

Thousands of voters who cast their votes at the Scouts Hall were treated to a presentation by the First Bedfordview Scouts, Sable patrol on August 3.

According to Mr Michael Omand the goal of the presentation was to advertise the Scout Group to the local community and to show off skills in pioneering.

“Throughout the day we answered many questions about Scouting and when and where we meet.

“We were not only advertising for Scouts but also for the Cubs and Guides. We built a two storey observation tower which consisted of 35 poles and 52 ropes. It took us around two and half hours to build,” he said.
