Suspects arrested for theft

They were found to be in possession of housebreaking tools.

Cleveland SAPS arrested two suspects who were in possession of stolen goods on Highland Road, Kensington on August 17 at about 8:15am.

According to Cleveland SAPS spokesperson, Constable Mpho Mashakane, a security guard alleged that he saw two suspects jumping the wall of one of the houses on Highland Road.

“He called the police and the suspects were apprehended and arrested. They were found to be in possession of housebreaking tools.

“Stolen goods were taken to the owner of the house. The owner of the house confirmed that the stolen goods belonged to him,” said Const Mashakane.

The suspects, aged 25 and 29 respectively, were arrested and detained at Cleveland SAPS.
