Hospital to host talk for expecting mothers

The lesson is open to all mothers and expecting mothers.

Life Bedford Gardens Hospital will, on August 31, host a birthing and baby educational talk.

The hospital’s Ms Janene De Beer said the lesson is open to all mothers and expecting mothers.

Fathers and grandparents are also welcome.

She said topics covered will be in the following order:

9:30am – How to avoid sudden infant death syndrome and the importance of knowing how to do CPR.

10am – Mother’s breastfeeding journey.

10:30am – Umbilical cord stem cell storage.

11am – Tea break.

11:30am – What to expect in hospital.

12pm – What to expect if your baby goes to NNICU.

“The event will start at 9am in the hospital’s maternity ward. Goody bags will be available for the first 100 mothers to arrive. There will also be lots of spot prizes to be won,” said Ms De Beer.

The hospital is situated along Leicester Road, Bedford Gardens.
