Hampers for the needy

The donation was made possible with the help of the Kensington Methodist Church.

The spirit of giving continued for Mandela Month.

The Abused Abandoned Kids Educational Excursions (AAAKEE), a charity organisation based in Fairview, recently donated 67 hampers to local community members.

The donation was made possible with the help of the Kensington Methodist Church.

Each hamper recipient received two hampers.

The first hamper contained non-perishable foods, while the second contained warm winter clothing.

“As an organisation we would like to extend a special thank you to all the sponsors, including Bona Electronic Solutions for their donations in aid of the project.

“Without their support we would not be able to provide for the needy as we have set out to do,” said Mr Wayne Schoeman, from AAAKEE.

The organisation caters for nearly 800 children from six different children’s orphanages around Gauteng.

They also run several projects throughout the year, which cater for the provision of groceries, uniforms, stationery, learning material and more for the children.
