Call centre getting an upgrade

The City of Ekurhuleni wishes to apologise for any inconvenience to be caused during the migration process.

Ekurhuleni’s call centre is receiving an upgrade to improve response time to calls, better sound quality and ability to reroute calls to the relevant agent based on their expertise without a customer being transferred from one agent to the other.

“The upgrade is scheduled for tomorrow evening Friday July 15 and may possibly cause the interruption of call centre services,” said Mr Themba Gadebe, spokesperson for the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality.

With the expected minimal down time, customers can log their requests through the following channels:

  •  Ekurhuleni Mobile App: Load the App from your Apps store (available on Android, Windows and iOS) and report issues from your mobile phone.
  •  Social media platforms: Facebook City of Ekurhuleni and Twitter: @emm_call_centre
  •  Email: callcentre@ekurhuleni.gov.za
  •  Via website: visit www.ekurhuleni.gov.za and use the Ekurhuleni self-service feature to log

“Residents can also SMS the keyword ‘Ekurhuleni’ to 30788 followed by details of the query to enable the Call Centre to log the query immediately,” said Mr Gadebe.

He said that the City of Ekurhuleni apologised for any inconvenience caused during the migration process.
