Members of the Jeppe SAPS arrested a 34-year-old man for murder in Bezhuidenhout Valley on July 10.
According to information received the murder took place on 1st Avenue in Bezuidenhout Valley at around 6.30pm.
“Jeppe SAPS police officers received a tip-off informing them of the murderer.
“When they arrived at the scene an officer found a 68-year-old man lying inside the house in a pool of blood. A suspect with blood on his jacket was also found at the scene,” said Jeppe SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Richard Munyai.
It is believed the two men were engaged in an argument shortly before the murder took place.
The suspect was caught by members of the community when he tried to flee the scene.
The man will appear in the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court soon.
