Jeppe SAPS have arrested a 40 year old man for possession of stolen goods

Jeppe SAPS arrested a 40-year-old man for possession of stolen goods on June 21 in Jeppestown.

Police officers were investigating a case of theft in which a laptop was stolen. The complainant alleged that he knew where the suspect who stole his laptop lived and took the police to the corner of Doran and Princes streets in Jeppestown.

“Upon arrival the officers found the suspect but did not find the stolen laptop,” said Jeppe SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Richard Munyai.

“The officers asked to search the property and found goods including four car radios, two car batteries, fan belts, oil filters and a tool box as well as implements used in burglaries. When the officer asked the suspect about the goods he could not account for them,” W/O Munyai said.

The man was arrested and detained at Jeppe Police Station.
