Ammunition handed in

"He knew not to just throw it in the dustbin as it might fall into the wrong hands and lives might be in danger."

The Edenvale SAPS extended its thanks to a member of the public for handing in ammunition he had found at his home.

“The individual who used to be a firearm owner came to the Edenvale SAPS station on June 7 to hand in the ammunition,” said Edenvale SAPS communication officer, Warrant Officer Jean Olckers.

“He knew not to just throw it in the dustbin as it might fall into the wrong hands and lives might be in danger.”

“The Edenvale SAPS would like to thank the member of the public for making the time to do the right thing. The rounds have been booked in and will be sent away to be destroyed,” said W/O Olckers.
