Jeppe SAPS celebrated Youth Day on Thursday June 16 at Albert Bailey Park in Belgravia.
The event provided entertainment for the community in the form of sports activities and artists performing on stage.
More than 700 youth and adults attended the event.
“The purpose of the day was to celebrate Youth Day. We focused on a campaign against crime and the abuse of alcohol and drugs by the youth,” said Jeppe SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Richard Munyai.
Among those in attendance were the Johannesburg Cluster Commander, Major General Dimakatso Ndaba, the Jeppe SAPS Station Commander, Brigadier David Ngcobo, and the Jeppe Community Police Forum chairperson, Mr Zola Dambula.
