Winter sport festival a success

Silver medal runners-up in the open age group went to Hurlyvale Primary School.

Saheti hosted its Winter Sports Festival on June 11.

The festival featured 800 players from 10 primary schools, which included King’s College, St Catherine’s School, Woodhill College, Summerhill School, Bishop Bavin, Hurlyvale Primary School, Summit College, Bedfordview Primary School, Cornwall Hill College and Saheti.

This was the 12th annual event and featured players competing in soccer and netball matches in the U/10 to open age groups in a round-robin format.

The trophy for the best netball school and gold medal winner in the open age group was awarded to Cornwall Hill College.

Silver medal runners-up in the open age group went to Hurlyvale Primary School.

The trophy for the best soccer school went to Saheti, with the gold medal winner in the open age group going to St Catherine’s School.

The silver medal runners-up in the open age group went to Bedfordview Primary School.
