The Jeppe SAPS arrested a 19-year-old man for business robbery on June 12 at about 9pm at Doornfontein.
“The owner of a shop was inside the premises on Charles Street in Doornfontein when he was approached by two men, one armed with a firearm. They instructed him to lie down. The suspects took money, two cellular phones and two cartons of cigarettes before they ran out of the shop,” said Jeppe SAPS spokesperson Warrant Officer Richard Munyai.
“The shop owner chased after them. Security guards heard and also gave chase. They managed to recover some of the stolen money and arrested one suspect,” said W/O Munyai.
