Three nabbed for 2015 robbery

Upon further investigations, police followed up on information that led them to the arrest of three suspects aged 32, 33 and 27

Cleveland SAPS arrested three suspects on June 6 for a business robbery that took place on October 26, 2015.

The robbery took place at about 1am on Chilvers Street in Denver. “The complainant who works on Chilvers Street was in the guardroom at the business when he saw six suspects entering the premises. One of the suspects had a firearm and pointed it at the complainant and demanded the keys to the safe. They searched the complainant and took his cellular phone and R100 cash. They also took the panic button inside his pocket,” said Cleveland SAPS spokesperson, Constable Mpho Mashakane.

“They used a grinder to open the safe and took R20 000 cash. The complainant was tied with shoelaces,” she said.

“Upon further investigation, police followed up on information that led them to the arrest of three suspects aged 32, 33 and 27,” said Constable Mashakane.
