A group of Saheti School athletes represented their school in the 12th ‘Mathitiada’, a type of mini Olympic Games held in Serres, northern Greece, recently.
The team proved their versatility by competing in a variety of events, namely archery, mountain biking, shooting, judo, swimming, tennis, kayaking, wrestling, marathon, and track and field.
They returned with 22 gold, 12 silver and 10 bronze medals.
This athletic and cultural event attracted over 500 high school athletes from all over Greece, and around the world, to participate in the spirit of the Olympic Games, with the focus on respect and fair play.
