Breakfast Club grows

"These new members, most of whom have already completed their first Icebreaker speeches, have enthusiastically participated in meeting roles."

Six new members joined the Moddderfontein Breakfast Club at the Saturday morning meeting on May 28.

The club welcomed Sibusiso Thsona, Keketso May, Ofhani Rapetswane, Thabang Monama, Permla Segopolo, Albertine Mkhosi.

“The new members have started their exciting journey into gaining confidence in public speaking, developing leadership qualities, personal growth and making new friends.

“These new members, most of whom have already completed their first Icebreaker speeches, have enthusiastically participated in meeting roles,” said Mrs Karen Armour, the Division I director. She said the six individuals have been enrolled.

“People join the Modderfontein Breakfast Club for many different reasons but what they develop is tremendous growth in confidence, not just for public speaking, but in self-confidence and leadership skills in general,” said Mrs Armour.

The Modderfontein Breakfast Club has also been awarded the President’s Distinguished Club Award for the second year in a row, which is the highest accolade a Toastmasters club can achieve in a year. The club is continuing to grow with new members each month.
