Local Rotarians help after care centre

In recent months, the Edenvale Rotary Club has assisted with the installation of a dividing wall at the church to provide a separate space for the centre.

Rotarians from the Edenvale Rotary Club recently paid a visit to Manche Masemola After Care in Lombardy East.

Manche Masemola is an ongoing project which hopes to facilitate the establishment of an After Care Centre for the community of parishioners of Manche Masemola Church.

In recent months, the Edenvale Rotary Club has assisted with the installation of a dividing wall at the church to provide a separate space for the centre.

Rotarians recently assisted the church to hang curtains, built bookshelves, painted a blackboard wall, installed wall heaters and decorated the space with educational posters.

New toys and stationery were unpacked.

The club hopes to install new playground equipment in the coming weeks.

Residents who wish to find out more about the Edenvale Rotary Club and its projects can join the club during meetings every Monday evening in Edenvale at 6.30pm at the Dickie Fritz Moth Hall. Contact Linda on 082 929 5142 for more information.
