Dowerglen business robbery

Edenvale SAPS are looking for a number of suspects involved in a business robbery in Dowerglen on May 15 at about 6pm.

The robbery occurred at the corner of Elm and Beech roads. “An undisclosed amount of cash and goods were taken and the suspects fled the scene. No one was seriously injured during the robbery and police are investigating the case,” said Edenvale SAPS acting communications officer, Warrant Officer Jean Olckers.

The SAPS urged anyone with more information to come forward.

Residents are reminded to report suspicious vehicles and persons to SAPS sector vehicles or 10111.

Edenvale SAPS sectors are:

•  Edenvale residents living or working in Marais Steyn Park, Dowerglen, Dunvegan, Elma Park or the part of the Avenues from Horwood Street to Hendrik Potgieter Street fall under Sector 1. The Edenvale Hospital and the Sizwe Hospital also fall under Sector 1. The Sector 1 vehicle contact numbers are 071 675 6840 and 071 675 6841.
•  Edenvale residents living or working in Greenstone, Eastleigh, Illiondale, De Klerk’s Hof and the part of the Avenues from Hendrik Potgieter Street to Aitken Road fall under Sector 2. The Sector 2 vehicle contact numbers are 071 675 6842 and 071 675 6843.
•  Edenvale residents living or working in Isandovale, Harmelia, Highway Gardens, Edenglen or Hurlyvale fall under Sector 3. The Sector 3 vehicle contact numbers are 071 675 6844 or 071 675 6845.
