Little Eden, based in Edenvale, will take part in the annual 702 Walk the Talk event.
The event will take place on Sunday, July 24, and is expected to attract 50 000 walkers.
By participating in the event, Little Eden hopes to raise awareness of the foundation as well as raise much-needed funds.
Everyone who joins under the Little Eden unsung heroes team will be charged a discounted amount of R145, whether under 12 or over 60 years old, for any of the distances.
The regular cost for the 5km and 8km events is R160, while the 15km costs R180.
Residents are asked to take note that those who have already entered and paid will unfortunately not be refunded the difference.
“Participants are encouraged to come up with creative ways to help Little Eden raise funds through this event, such as being sponsored for every kilometre completed,” said Mrs Nichollette Muthige, the public relations and communications officer for Little Eden.
