Undisclosed amount of money taken during Stoneridge parking lot robbery

An unknown amount of money was taken.

Two men made off with an undisclosed amount of money following an armed robbery in the Stoneridge Shopping Centre’s parking area this morning.

According to security personnel, the robbery took place at approximately 11am.

It is believed the victim parked their car and the robbers, who are believed to have followed the victim from a bank in the area, parked next to the victim and proceeded to pull out a firearm.

The robbers demanded the victim’s money.

According to the Edenvale CPF chairperson, Mrs Linda McKenzie, two armed men in a silver BMW X5 followed the victim from the bank.

The Edenvale SAPS acting communications officer, Warrant Officer Jean Olckers, said the duty officer confirmed that it was an armed robbery.
