Residents gather to clean up

Greenstone Hill residents were out and about to clean up their neighbourhood on April 16.

The community collected glass beer bottles, plastic bottles, cigarette butts, empty containers, cigarette boxes, plastic wrappers and empty cold drink cans.

Some local businesses also went out to support the clean-up operation.

Green Valley Shopping Centre sponsored parking at the shopping centre.

Other sponsors included Ocean Basket Eden Meadows, Evotel, Balwin Properties and Seeff Edenvale – which ensured everyone was well hydrated.

After the clean-up, the community members had a family braai near the Modderfontein Dam.
