A BMW X5, which was taken during a hijacking on a Cleveland on-ramp, is still missing.

The incident occurred on the on-ramp heading towards towards the M2 East on March 12, shortly after 3pm

The Cleveland SAPS spokesperson, Constable Mpho Mashakane, said two women were driving the BMW X5 when they were hijacked by four men.

“A Nissan bakkie with four men blocked the X5. Three men exited the car carrying assault rifles.

“They ordered the women to get out of the car. They also demanded money. The men took the women’s handbags, which contained about R15 000, bank cards and two cellular phones,” said Const Mashakane.
