Acting spokesperson Warrant Officer Jean Olckers from the Edenvale SAPS is urging residents to keep safe during the upcoming Easter holidays.
Homeowners need to:
- Make sure doors and gates are locked properly and securely.
- Make sure that if they have alarm systems, they work.
- Have trustworthy people check on your house to make sure everything is in order.
- Ask trustworthy people to remove newspapers and letters out of the mailbox.
- Be careful in the driveways when leaving for and getting home from holidays.
- Make sure all house windows are securely closed.
