Members of the Edenvale SAPS Crime Prevention Unit arrested a man this afternoon for possession of a narcotic substance as well as steroids controlled under the Controlled Medicines Act.
Two officers patrolling in Edenvale noticed a male driving around suspiciously.
The officers ordered the man to stop and searched the vehicle. They found a suspect white powder in the car that the man could not explain.
The powder appeared to be CAT and will be sent away to be tested.
Further inspection of the vehicle revealed more suspect items which were later identified as steroids.
The total value of the steroids and narcotics came to estimated R300 000.
