Tiles4Change 5km fun run to hit the streets on Sunday

This year's cause identified for the fun run is anti-bullying.

The Tiles4Change five kilometre fun Run or Walk will form part of the much-anticipated Sarens Edenvale Marathon this weekend.

The walk will kick off at 6.15am from Edenvale High School on Sunday.

Residents participating in the event will walk or run with school principals, the Edenvale SAPS, the Bedfordview and Edenvale News, Karaglen Shopping Centre, Karaglen Spar and many more.

This year’s cause identified for the fun run is anti-bullying.

Entries for the walk cost R40 and are available at Karaglen SuperSpar or from participating Edenvale schools.

The Sarens Edenvale Marathon will hit the streets from 6am on March 13.

Residents and motorists are asked to take note that during the time of the race, several roads will be affected.

An estimated 4 500 runners will line up at the start.

The event will consist of a 42 kilometre marathon, which is a qualifier for the Comrades and Two Oceans marathons, a 21 kilometre half marathon, a 10 kilometre run and a five kilometre Tiles4Change fun run.
