T-shirt expo to provide inspiration

“The expo promises to be a celebration of street art, graffiti and photography by using the t-shirt as a canvas."

Those who love art are invited to attend the Ekurhuleni T-Shirt Expo on March 5.

Ekurhuleni spokesperson, Mr Themba Gadebe, said the expo will be hosted by the City of Ekurhuleni’s Springs Art Gallery (SAG).

“This is the brainchild of the group of explicitly innovative designers and artists, the Blaq Mind Urban Culture. The T-shirt Expo is a celebration of sheer talent and skill, therefore as the City of Ekurhuleni we encourage contemporary art lovers and young people to come witness innovation and be inspired,” said Mr Gadebe.

He said over 20 t-shirts will be exhibited using the medium of graphic tees, through visual references and messages.

“The expo promises to be a celebration of street art, graffiti and photography by using the t-shirt as a canvas,” Mr Gadebe said.
