Four occupants in a white Toyota Quantum were arrested following a high speed car chase in Yeoville on February 22, shortly after 5pm.
The Yeoville SAPS spokesperson, Constable Thabo Malatji, said police officers were patrolling when they noticed a Quantum driving at a high speed.
“Officers tried to stop the vehicle but the driver ignored them. The police officers then gave chase. The driver lost control of the vehicle and hit a wall at the corner of Saunders and Joe Slovo streets.
“The driver was ejected from the vehicle and fled the scene. Four of his colleagues were arrested. They were found in possession of stolen property, which included a solar panel,” said Const Malatji.
